The weekend of June 2nd and 3rd 2001 saw cyclists from far and wide flock to the Stannary town of Tavistock in Devon for a weekend of organised cycling events.
With the partial lifting of the foot and mouth disease restrictions, even an off road ride was organised at Bellever Forest.
Four Audax events were run, at 100, 150, 200 and 300Km distances, plus a cream tea ride on Saturday, and a Map Reading competition on Sunday.
The opportunity was offered to do the "Rough stuff" ride on either day.

The Headquarters at the Scout Hut off of Pixon Lane was manned throughout, with the kitchen providing an endless supply of teas and coffees plus hot meals at the end of the events.
The weather was OK with a cool cloudy day on Saturday and warm sunshine on Sunday.
