WELCOME
TO THE 2006 DEVON DELIGHT 100Km event.
The Devon Delight is an established Audax Ride, which covers a distance of 104Km - 64miles. The route is quite easy with only two moderately long climbs, some fine coastal scenery and quiet country lanes. The event is suitable for someone who maybe hasn't done much cycling but has a fair degree of fitness, although the MINIMUM speed on the event is 10kph so you have virtually the whole day to complete the ride. Note also that the MAXIMUM allowed speed on the ride is 20kph Historically the weather is usually good, often quite warm. Our controls are manned by friendly people, and there is food available along the route. The event HQ is at the Newton Abbot & District Recreational Trust, where there is parking, room to leave baggage, showers, toilets, a bar, and we have some catering providing hot and cold drinks and sandwiches and cakes throughout the afternoon and evening. |
