" People say cyclists should have bells on their bicycles - well in Devon we fit Horns!!

There was plenty of weather on this years ride - a moderate dose of everthing!
Some drizzle, rain showers, misty bits, a blustery section, and some lovely autumn sunshine aswell.
- WELL DONE to all riders!!

Tandem after climbing Hind Street - all smiles!

Note that light levels were so poor at the start this year that sharp photos were rare, so lot's of photos didn't make it to the website!
We hope you enjoy the ones that did!

Horny for hills!

(S)Lime Street was just so. On the bend a couple of guys fought to free a jammed chain. I'd just met Andy Endicott returning to Bovey. Simon had crashed on the descent to Clifford. He wasn't the only one. I met Nicole on the descent who was coordinating the "rescue". He was OK but bruised and shaken. I continued down the hill grateful for my Magura hydraulics.
There we potholes the size of Smart Cars! Another guy had come off on the next corner. Somehow I managed to stop and check - he was fine but the front wheel was dead. Two others passed me as I set out again.
Near the bottom my back wheel started sliding so I let go and decided that prayer rather than rubber would see me OK. Catching the other two, one had also slid off on the camber - altogether I think about eight came to grief on this descent. .
