LED technology is accelerating. From the old reliable battery & bulb lights, with moderate performace, but low burn time, come new multi and now single LED ( Light Emitting Diode) front lamps. The latest frrom Cateye and Smart feature some very impressive little numbers, very bright with long "burn" times. However these lamps don't come cheap, and headlines like 1000 candlepower, could tempt you to buy something you may not be satisfied with, - before you buy why not ask colleagues what they think, and browse around and see what's best for your needs.
