DEVON D.A. CTC celebrates its
75th Anniversary this year.

120 members turned up at Starcross to celebrate the occassion:

108 had booked up for the tea,and with a few extra's arriving in the afternoon we had a grand total of 120 people at the event. Ken Strong welcomed everyone, and Iris Strong & Mike Bowden cut the cake which had been made and iced by Rob Swayne from Torbay section. John Dodson brought along ( and rode) a 1930's bike, we hade one of Pete Luxtons machines, and a modern lightwieght bike to represent the different era's.

Mike Bowden from Exeter and Iris Buckler from Plymouth also share their 75th Birthday year with the DA.
Jack Raymond - one of Torbay CTC's founders, and wife Barbara were there along with Mike & Betty Soper who also rode with the DA in the 50's. Don Cockman from Torbay was there - Don is still very active with his overseas tours.

Exeter CTC had a lunch stop before the tea, with some members from Plymouth & South Hams sections. They had 31 riders who rode 30 miles, and the average age of the riders was over 70!
